2022 François Cazin, Le Petit Chambord Cour-Cheverny $23
100% Romorantin
Loire Valley
This rare grape variety has aromas of quince, fresh citrus, starfruit and galangal, fresh herbs and white pepper. The palate is both fresh and rich, with flavors of fresh apricot balanced by a mineral finish.
2023 Alois Lageder, Schiava (Vernatsch) $20
100% Schiava
Alto-Adige, Italy
Subtly pronounced on the nose, fresh and fruity, with floral (violet) notes and white pepper. Light-to-medium bodied, well-balanced, soft, and dry on the palate.
Organic
2023 Arnaud Lambert, Les Parcelles $22
Chenin
Loire
classic Saumur Blanc aromas of Anjou pears, green pineapple, beeswax, and perfumed tuffeau soil. Showing superb cut and tension on the attack, the wine presents a taut mouthful of pear-driven Chenin fruit framed by yellow limestone minerals and electric acidity.
2019 Montjovet, La Kiuva $24
100% Nebbiolo
Vallée d’Aosta
A very pretty and elegant Nebbiolo from the Northwest corner of Italy, high up in the alps. A different twist from Piedmont. bright, wild cherry and racy floral aromas, segues into a light, fresh palate of morello cherry and ripe red fruits of the woods, chased with elusive tracings of garrigue and a tinge of leather.
