Well, the grey and moisture have returned to remind us that we really do live in Seattle and that it is November. But there is plenty to do that will make you feel sunny. This weekend we are having THREE tastings (a record I think).
Today we’re pouring a great line up of wine for Thanksgiving starting at 2pm. Come check them out. You’ll be thankful you did.
Sunday we’ll be pouring two Oregon Pinot Noirs from two very small production wineries. We’ll also have a Tawny Port to put you in the mood for dessert. Sarah Timbrook Nugent will be here to tell you more about the wines from 3 to 5.
2013 McKinlay Vineyards Willamette Valley Pinot Noir $20
2012 Omero Cellars Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir $36
Kopke 10-Year-Old Tawny Port, 375ml $17
Sunday at 5pm we’ll be having our older, already cellared and ready to drink Barolo tasting. There are a couple of spots left so contact us if you want to join in.
And if it has slipped by you, Thanksgiving is Thursday and we will be OPEN ALL WEEK. Besides our usual hours we’re open Monday 12 to 7 and Thursday 11 to 3.
Come join the fun.
Madrona Wine Merchants offers free wine tastings featuring 4-5 selections on a theme every Saturday from 2 until the bottles run out and on Sunday we offer a mini-tasting of two wines all day from 11-5. No matter what day you stop by we always have something open to sample.
