Imported directly from Kansas City, Arthur Bryant’s is exclusively sold in Seattle through Madrona Wine Merchants. Not only Calvin Trillin of the New Yorker’s favorite sauce, it’s the favorite sauce of Jim and Mark. Arthur’s is a vinegar-based, paprika-heavy sauce containing lard – definitely NOT vegan.

Gates & Sons Kansas City BBQ Sauce    ($6)
When people from Kansas City talk about BBQ, the first question is: “Gates or Bryant’s?” Gates sauce is a tomato-brown sugar-based slightly spicy sauce loved by many of our friends. A shout out to Tina Starr at Gates for providing samples for our wine club members.
