In Individual Wooden Gift Boxes:

2010 Nicklaus Golden Bear Reserve  $125  1.5L
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc
A big gift Magnum made by Terlato wines for the great putter.  A perfect gift for the golf nut or wine lover.  Intense aromas of dark cherries and plums, layered with spicy notes of anise and clove.  Concentrated flavors of dark plum and raspberry followed by a lush, full‐bodied and bright acidity on the mid-palate.  The smooth, velvety tannins grant this wine a persistent, lingering finish.

2010 Ambassador Vineyards, Envoy Red Blend (estate grown Red Mountain.)  $98  1.5 L
Rich dark berry enveloped by smoke and dried herbs with a finish of black pepper, creamy raspberry and just a hint of minerality in the background. Medium body and spicy on the palate with creamy fruit and cinnamon spice, finishing with a hint of smoke. Nice structure without being to grippy, very pleasant to drink now but should age very nicely for 5-10 years.

2006 Herdade do Mouchao Tinto Alentejo  $84      1.5L
One of the great Portuguese wines, this is a wonderful and idiosyncratic wine, its mainstay being foot-trodden Alicante Bouschet. Spice, sousbois and meaty intensity, hints of liqueur de cassis and Provencal herbs, or their Portuguese equivalent.

2009 Palmoletino, Scarafone Rosso di Montecucco DOC $30     1.5 L
90% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon
Montecucco is a Tuscan appellation that begins on the slopes of Monte Amiata (the volcano facing Montalcino) and extends almost all the way to the coast.  The Scarafone has notes of violets, strawberry and cherry fruit followed by smooth light tannins.

Not in boxes but fun gifts!

Roederer Estate Brut, Anderson Valley $55     1.5L
A toasty, complex domestic Pinot Noir & Chardonnay blend that is a cut above most home grown sparklers and stand up to a lot of Frenchies..

2007 Trefethen Vineyards, Oak Knoll District, Napa Cabernet Sauvignon $146         1.5 L
Luxury in a glass. Boasting dense, magnificently concentrated blackcurrant, dark cherry and boysenberry fruit aromas mingled with seductive dark chocolate, sage, leather and sweet vanilla scents, the wine’s intense cassis, black cherry and blackberry flavors explode on the palate, segueing into a deliciously long, savory and decadent, chocolate-filled finish. The eager will drink it now; the wise will sequester it for a decade or more.

2011 Pepper Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla $125      1.5L
83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot, 4% Malbec
From beginning to end, this was a cool year. The Walla Walla Valley experienced no 100-degree days for the first time in well over a decade. Despite the cooler weather, our vineyards were still able to reach full ripening, with harvest occurring approximately three weeks late. The longer hang time led to layered, nuanced flavors with vibrancy and natural balance.

 2010 Château Angludet (Margaux) $155      1.5L
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot)
A serious Bordeaux — Full, lush, plush and plump, it is seriously generous with terrific ripe red fruits and a very polished seductive finish.

 2009 Ruggeri Corsini Barolo ‘Bussia’ $90      1.5L
There should be an exhilarating rush of freshness on the nose, followed immediately by warming broader elements, which can include candied cherries, bitter cherries, plums, strawberries and raspberries. There are also darker tones of chocolate, hazelnuts, licorice, with herbs, cinnamon and vanilla as well.

2009 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Cru Riserva ‘Montestefano’   $126        1.5L
94 Pts – AG “…this brings together the best qualities of the vintage, with a solid core of intense fruit, expressive aromatics and a measure of tannic heft that will keep the wine fresh and vibrant for many years. Dark cherry, plum, spice and leather notes flesh out on the huge, voluptuous finish…”
